ESMERALDA SPECIAL is a collection of high elevation (1,600 – 1,900 masl) Geisha microlots with cupping scores of over 91 points and one of the finest, most celebrated Geisha microlot collections from Hacienda La Esmeralda, the original growers of the world-famous Panama Geisha.

Coming from their Jaramillo, Cañas Verdes and El Velo farms, each microlot is a completely unique expression of its terroir and the Hacienda's craftsmanship. Though altitude presents challenges for growing and harvesting, it is up in the mountains of Boquete that the unique floral and citrus aromatics of Geisha coffee sing brightest.

Each microlot is unique in nature, exceptional in character and thoroughly pleasing to the palate. Classic jasmine, bergamot, stonefruits and berries are some of the singular floral and fruit notes that make up the Esmeralda Special signature taste present in this lot.

We recommend a pour-over method such as Chemex, V60 or Kalita Wave to fully enjoy the complexity and aromas this coffee has to offer.
